SPFT was super stoked when we heard that Beck was going to be back with us for another year. Beck showed great progression in his first year on the team ending the year on a high note hitting the entire Pro-Line at Stevens Pass as well as trying back flips. This year, Beck has come out swinging riding along some of the best riders that Stevens has to offer and jumping into the competitive scene starting with the Open Season Rail Jam. Since then Beck has been on a hot streak placing 2nd in his age division in the Jim Jack Cowboy Up Big Mountain Competition, and slaying it in the park stomping big spins, stylie methods, and inverted airs. Keep an eye on this guy as he has the potential to go far in the sport. Yeah buddy!
This is who we are, what we do,
Teo is back for his second year with the Freeride Team and started the season off with a bang – mastering front flipping at the trampoline gym. On the hill you can find Teo rolling through the park sporting blunt grabs while rocking out to some AC DC or Hip Hop, depending on how he is feeling. Last season, Teo started working more on his big mountain skills pulling off some larger drops and searching the horizon for bigger lines. With his eyes set squarely on the 2015 Jim Jack Cowboy up, Teo has been boning up on his spinning and grabbing while getting his confidence up to start flipping. Teo’s perfect day at the pass is a few feet of pow, bluebird sunshine and a few friends to share it with. Mt. Hood is the next hill for Teo to roll up to and is inspired by his coaches and his friends. Big season ahead for this guy, keep your eyes on him!
Chance is SPFT’s newest addition and boy are we lucky to have him! Chance comes to us from Bend, home of Mt. Bachelor and brings a ton of stoke and skills to the Freeride Team. He’s a big fan of Mt. Baker and his idea of a nirvana is a stormy day with a whole bunch of fresh powder. In the park Chance is spinning front and back three’s with style, and sliding boxes and rails with confidence. Chance loves all types of music, but rocks out to Jimi Hendrix and is most proud of his USASA Nationals qualification last season. This year Chance is going bigger and bolder than ever before and will be ripping Stevens as much as he can. If you cross paths with Chance, give that guy a high five!
Evan is back on the Freeride Team this year and is already on mission to take his skiing to the next level. Whether he is working on his Misty Flips in the park, slashing pow, or jumping over trees, it’s clear that Evan is getting after it in a big way. Park has been Evan’s sweet spot and if you had to ask him what his perfect day was at Stevens, it would be a clear sunny day in the terrain park with a few pow runs mixed in between.
This year, Evan is going to push harder in the park working on his cork/flat spin rotations, misty & rodeo flips, and straight back flips. Evan is also going to be competing in several USASA Slopestyle Sanctioned Events as well as local mountain competitions in the PNW. Evan gets his stoke on while listening to EDM and Dubstep and can be seen throwing three’s all over the mountain. For inspiration, Evan looks to Tom Wallisch, Nick Goepper, and of course his biggest sponsors – mom and dad.
Evan’s dream is to rip in Utah at Park City and with enough hard work, become a sponsored athlete.
